Many of us are working in jobs we don’t like just to pay the bills. We’ve all become Gold Medallists in procrastination because our soul isn’t aligned with what we are doing for work. It’s time to analyze ourselves and find out what we should really be doing in life.
In this article we’ll discuss the signs that you’re working in a job that’s not for you. We’ll then look at how to perform a self-analysis to find out the different things you could do that would make you jump out of bed to start the day rather than hit snooze on your alarm clock at 5-minute intervals.
The Dreaded 9 to 5
There are many tell-tale signs that you’re not aligned with your destiny. They will be most noticeable when you’re at work. Huge amounts of procrastination is the biggest sign. You are looking for literally anything to do other than what you’re supposed to be doing. Another big sign is clock-watching – constantly checking the time to see how long is left on your shift. Ultimately, we are wishing hours and hours of our lives away as we are stuck in a job that we don’t want to be in.
Other signs include an inability to perform deep work. Deep work is where you can focus on a task and produce output for a number of hours without a break. If you’re in a job that’s not aligned with your soul, you will find any excuse to get up from your desk and take a break. You probably have set times of when you’re going to have a coffee or green tea or a mid-morning snack. Again, this is escapism and more procrastination. You may also find yourself just randomly sighing while at work, this is your subconscious telling you your soul is in a place it shouldn’t be.
We are not put on earth to work a 9 to 5 job that we are not passionate about or that we don’t care about. A day job working for someone else has its uses but don’t let it use you. Instead use it to build yourself a comfortable financial position. In the meantime, find a side business that you can start working on. Once in a good position you’ll no longer need your full-time job. Use your 9 to 5, don’t let it use you.
Perform Self-Analysis
How do we find our soul purpose and an endeavor that we both enjoy and makes us money? First of all, we have to sit down and analyze ourselves. Sit in a quiet room. Just yourself, a pen, and a notepad. Write down what you enjoy, what brings you joy, what your hobbies are, and also all the different fields you’re knowledgeable about. Next, analyze what you’re good at, what talents you possess and what makes you different to most people. Also write down your positive character traits, this could be your intuition or ability to talk to people from all walks of life.

With a list of your positive personality traits, interests and what you’re good at you should begin to form a few different ideas on how you could proceed. Work out how you could monetize your knowledge and talents. Right now, you can literally monetize anything. A guy became an overnight sensation on Tik Tok by rolling different types of glass bottles down a flight of stairs and seeing which would smash first. The views and followers he accrued allowed him to monetize it. While simplistic, it's extremely creative and something nobody had thought of before.
Advancing in the Age of Aquarius
“Astrology isn’t real” I hear you say. This famous quote from J.P Morgan is telling, “Millionaires don’t use astrology. Billionaires use astrology”. There’s a reason leading world figures such as Napoleon and Winston Churchill had personal astrologers. To this day, the elite utilize astrology. The financial markets move up and down with big astrological movements.
We are currently in the Age of Aquarius. Aquarius is all about the wider collective and collaborating with others. You see social media influencers collaborating all the time, this is how they grow their followings and essentially increase their income. Collaboration is key right now.
Aquarius also represents technological advancements. That’s why AI and digital currency are so prominent at the moment. People who belong to the sign of Aquarius are often a little rebellious and eccentric – they think outside the box. This goes back to the glass bottle videos mentioned earlier.
We can utilize this knowledge of the current times. Starting a business idea that involves short-form video, AI, or something involving technology has a good chance of success right now. Collaborating with others will also see our business grow. Being progressive and thinking outside the box to introduce something people have never seen before will also see you do well.
