Dr. Sebi was a herbalist, natural healer, and holistic health practitioner. He gained popularity through his advocacy of an alkaline diet and herbal remedies which went against mainstream beliefs. The Honduras native recommended a very specific alkaline diet – but which foods did he recommend to eat?

The Dr. Sebi Alkaline Diet

Dr. Sebi’s plant-based diet is claimed to alkalize the blood in your body and rejuvenate cells by eliminating toxic waste. The diet would become known as the Dr. Sebi Alkaline Diet.

The herbalist claimed that the diet, along with certain supplements, was created to cure and prevent disease, and as an alternative to Western medicine. It’s thought that disease struggles to survive in an alkaline state, whereas it thrives in an acidic, stress-filled environment.
